ISI Dublin opened in 2001 and has been teaching English to international students in the centre of Dublin for more than 20 years. Over 50,000 students have studied there, and the school reports a 99% positive feedback rate, a genuinely high number for a school of this size and history.

The school runs two buildings, five minutes’ walk apart, both in the city centre. The main site at Meetinghouse Lane is an 18th-century stone warehouse converted into a school, with original stone walls and wooden floors combined with a modern fit-out and local artwork on display. The second building on Parnell Square is a red brick Georgian building close to O’Connell Street. Both put students within easy walking distance of Temple Bar, Trinity College, and the rest of central Dublin.

Classrooms are bright and fitted with interactive whiteboards, and each building has its own student cafe, student lounge, and free Wi-Fi. ISI is recognised by ACELS and accredited by Eaquals, and holds membership with MEI and ALTO. The school also operates as an official exam centre for students sitting recognised English qualifications.

Course options cover General English, exam preparation, and business English, running across morning, afternoon, and evening time slots. Students can stay with a host family, checked and chosen by the school, or arrange other accommodation directly through ISI for part or all of their stay.

Outside the classroom, ISI runs a genuinely active social side, with free weekly clubs like Conversation Corner, Jobs Club, and an Irish History and Culture Club, plus guided tours and regular student events. It’s the kind of school where the social calendar is treated as seriously as the timetable, not bolted on as an afterthought.

The school has also won Study Travel Star’s Best English Language School Europe award four times, in 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020/21, a strong, repeated result rather than a one-off.
