The Slaney Language Centre is a privately run English school in the middle of Wexford town, on the south east coast of Ireland. We opened in 1999 and have been teaching English for over 25 years. Our goal is simple: good teaching, a warm welcome and a personal touch for every student.

Our classes are kept small, often around 6 to 8 students outside the busy summer months. That means more attention and more time to speak. Our teachers are qualified, experienced and interested in how you are getting on. We care more about using English with confidence than memorising grammar rules.

Lisa, our founder and Managing Director, takes pride in the professional and personal approach of the school. Esteban, our co-director, looks after our group programmes.

Wexford is a friendly Viking town and we are right in the heart of it. Shops, cafes, restaurants, public transport and Wexford Harbour, with its colourful fishing boats, are all a few minutes’ walk from the school. Daily life is simple and stress-free.

Students come from all over the world, so you practise your English with new friends from many countries. We welcome adults all year round, school groups on mini-stays, and families and teenagers at Easter and in summer. Our Summer Junior Centre is only a five-minute walk from the main school.
